Outright winner
Pick the champion before or during the event. The bet settles when the final ends.
So what: higher payout, but the price carries the margin of every round and your stake is locked until the trophy is lifted.

PGL is one of the organisers Valve licenses to run Counter-Strike Majors, the two biggest events of every CS2 season. PGL has hosted four Majors so far: Kraków 2017, Stockholm 2021, Antwerp 2022 and Copenhagen 2024. The next is the PGL Major Singapore, scheduled for 25 November – 13 December 2026. This page explains Major betting markets, how outright prices shrink through the playoffs and who has won each PGL Major.

Short answer
A CS2 Major has 32 teams: three Swiss stages narrow the field to eight, then single-elimination playoffs decide the winner. Bookmakers price every series, every map, round handicaps and totals, plus outright and stage markets such as 'to reach the playoffs'. Playoff series are best-of-three, so a team that wins 60% of maps wins about 65% of its series.

Outright vs match
Pick the champion before or during the event. The bet settles when the final ends.
So what: higher payout, but the price carries the margin of every round and your stake is locked until the trophy is lifted.
Pick the winner of one series. It settles when that series ends.
So what: usually the lowest margin on the page, and you can react to form, rosters and the draw.
To reach the playoffs, Swiss-stage record (3–0 or 0–3), top player by rating, total maps in the final, overtime on a map.
So what: thin markets with wider margins; compare the price on two or three sites before you bet.
Odds through the bracket Example odds
A worked example: a team with a 60% chance in every series and an example outright overround of 25%.

Semi-final
Grand final
Champion
Title chance = chance per series to the power of the series left. With 3 series to win: 21.6%, fair odds 4.63. Each series won removes one factor.
What it means: a pre-event outright price at 3.70 includes the margin on every round, so backing the same team series by series can pay more or less depending on the match margins you get.
Only the eight playoff teams face this route; before the playoffs a team must also get through the Swiss stages, which lowers its title chance further.
Worked example, not a forecast. Book odds = fair odds ÷ (1 + overround).
Example odds Example odds
Example odds, not live prices. The sum of implied probabilities shows the margin.
| Team | Example odds | Implied | Fair odds |
|---|---|---|---|
| Team Vitality | 4.00 | 25.0% | 4.87 |
| Team Falcons | 5.00 | 20.0% | 6.09 |
| FURIA | 7.00 | 14.3% | 8.53 |
| The MongolZ | 8.00 | 12.5% | 9.75 |
| Natus Vincere | 9.00 | 11.1% | 10.97 |
| FaZe Clan | 13.00 | 7.7% | 15.84 |
| Any other team | 3.20 | 31.3% | 3.90 |
| Sum | 121.8% | margin 17.9% |
Add up 1 ÷ odds for every team. Here it is 121.8%: the bookmaker keeps 17.9% of outright stakes on average.
What it means: with 32 teams, the 'any other team' line hides a lot of margin; the names show how the table works and are not predictions.

The PGL Major Singapore is scheduled for 25 November – 13 December 2026, with 32 teams and a $1,250,000 prize pool. The following Majors are the FiRe Major Buenos Aires (May–June 2027) and the Perfect World Shanghai Major (November–December 2027).
A Major is Valve's top Counter-Strike event, held twice a year. Valve picks a different organiser for each one; PGL is one of them, alongside ESL (IEM), BLAST, StarLadder and Perfect World.
Natus Vincere won the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024, beating FaZe Clan 2–1 in the final. The most recent Major of any organiser, IEM Cologne 2026, was won by Team Falcons.
Series winner, map winner, map and round handicaps, total maps, total rounds, overtime, pistol rounds, outright winner and stage markets such as qualifying for the playoffs. See our CS2 betting guide for how each market works.
Many Swiss-stage matches are best-of-one. A team that wins 60% of maps wins a BO1 only 60% of the time, against about 65% in a BO3, so upsets are more common early in a Major.
