Smite betting 2026: markets, series maths and where to bet

Smite betting is MOBA betting on a smaller scene: five-player teams, Conquest games, and series that are usually best-of-three. Fewer bookmakers price it than League of Legends or Dota 2, so this page covers the markets you will actually find, how a per-game chance becomes a series price, and the sites we rank for Smite.

Short answer

How does Smite betting work?

You bet on a match, one game or an objective inside a game. A team that wins 60% of games takes a best-of-three about 65% of the time. Few bookmakers carry Smite, so compare margins and limits before you bet.

Per game 60% 65% BO3 series chance
Match winner 4.9% lowest margin, example
Players per team 5 Conquest
2–0 at 60% 36% −1.5 games

How it works

From match to bet slip in four steps

  1. Check the game and format

Make sure the match is Smite 2 or Smite, and whether it is a single game or a best-of-three.

  2. Look at the draft

God picks and bans set each team's plan; late-game compositions favour long games.

  3. Pick the market

Match winner carries the lowest margin. Objective props are close to coin flips with a wider margin.

  4. Compare and limit

Compare the few sites that price Smite and set a deposit limit first.

Markets Example odds

Smite betting markets explained

Game handicap Team A −1.5 games must win 2–0. 2.65 / 1.45 6.3% turns a short favourite into a longer price.

First blood, game 1 The team that gets the first kill. 1.83 / 1.90 6.8% close to a coin flip.
Total kills, game 1 Over or under a kill line for both teams together. [varies] [varies] offered at only a few sites.

BO1 vs BO3 vs BO5

Series length decides how often the favourite wins

The same two teams, with the favourite at 60% per game.

BO1

One game, used in some group stages and qualifiers.

Favourite at 60% per map 60.0%
Fair odds 1.67
Upset chance 40.0%

So what: the underdog wins four times in ten.

BO3

First to two games, the usual format for playoff matches.

Favourite at 60% per map 64.8%
Fair odds 1.54
Upset chance 35.2%

So what: the favourite gains about five points.

BO5

First to three games, used for finals at bigger events.

Favourite at 60% per map 68.3%
Fair odds 1.47
Upset chance 31.7%

So what: the stronger team wins most often.

Format varies by event; check the match page at your bookmaker.

Series maths

From a per-game chance to a series price

If each game is independent with the same chance p, a best-of-three win chance is p² × (3 − 2p).

BO3 = p² × (3 − 2p)

BO5 = p³ × (10 − 15p + 6p²)

Example, p = 0.60: 0.36 × 1.8 = 0.648

2–0 (−1.5 games) = p² = 36%

Per map BO1 BO3 BO5 Fair odds BO3 BO3 vs BO1
50% 50.0% 50.0% 50.0% 2.00 ±0.0 pp
55% 55.0% 57.5% 59.3% 1.74 +2.5 pp
60% 60.0% 64.8% 68.3% 1.54 +4.8 pp
65% 65.0% 71.8% 76.5% 1.39 +6.8 pp
70% 70.0% 78.4% 83.7% 1.28 +8.4 pp
75% 75.0% 84.4% 89.6% 1.19 +9.4 pp
80% 80.0% 89.6% 94.2% 1.12 +9.6 pp

Pure maths with games treated as independent. Draft, side choice and momentum break this in real series.

Smite betting FAQ

How does Smite betting work?

You bet on a match between two five-player teams, on a single game in a series, or on in-game objectives where a bookmaker offers them. Match winner is the market most sites carry; props such as first blood or first Fire Giant appear only at a few.

What is the difference between Smite and Smite 2 for betting?

Smite 2 is Hi-Rez Studios' successor to Smite on a new engine. Competitive play has moved to Smite 2, so check which game a listed match is played on: team form from Smite does not carry over one to one.

Why do few bookmakers offer Smite?

Smite has a smaller pro scene than League of Legends or Dota 2, so fewer matches reach bookmakers and limits tend to be lower. Compare the sites below before you deposit.

How old do I need to be to bet on Smite?

At least 18 at every bookmaker we list, and 21 in some countries. Bookmakers check ID before paying out, and many Smite fans are younger than that: if you are under 18, use this page for information only.
