PUBG Global Championship betting: PGC odds, format and every champion

The PUBG Global Championship (PGC) is KRAFTON's world championship for PUBG: Battlegrounds and the last event of the competitive season. PGC 2026 is scheduled for Istanbul from 1 to 13 December 2026 with 32 teams and a $1,500,000 prize pool. FULL SENSE won PGC 2025 in Bangkok. Battle royale betting works differently from series games: there is no opponent to beat, only a lobby to outscore, so this page explains the markets, the risk in outrights and every past champion.

Short answer

How do you bet on the PGC?

A PGC grand final is a series of matches in one lobby of 16 teams; points for placement and kills decide the champion. Bookmakers offer the outright winner, top-3 or top-5 finishes, head-to-head between two teams, match (chicken dinner) winners and kill totals. With 16 teams in every match, even the favourite usually wins a single match well under a third of the time, so placement and head-to-head markets are steadier than match winners.

Outright vs placement

Three ways to bet on the PGC

Outright winner

Pick the team with the most points after the grand final.

So what: big prices, but you need one team to beat 15 others across several days; the margin on a 16-team market is usually wide.

Top-N and head-to-head

Back a team to finish top 3 or top 5, or to finish above one named rival.

So what: lower odds but far fewer ways to lose; head-to-head is the closest PUBG gets to a match-winner bet.

Match markets

Winner of a single match, total kills, most kills by a team or player.

So what: one bad circle can end a team's match, so treat single-match bets as high variance.

Example odds Example odds

What a PGC outright market looks like

Example odds, not live prices. The sum of implied probabilities shows the margin.

Team Example odds Implied Fair odds
FULL SENSE 7.00 14.3% 8.41
Virtus.pro 8.00 12.5% 9.61
Danawa e-sports 9.00 11.1% 10.81
17 Gaming 10.00 10.0% 12.01
TSM 12.00 8.3% 14.41
The Expendables 12.00 8.3% 14.41
Any other team 1.80 55.6% 2.16
Sum 120.1% margin 16.7%

Reading an outright market

Add up 1 ÷ odds for every team. Here it is 120.1%: the bookmaker keeps 16.7% of outright stakes on average.

What it means: in battle royale the field is large and results swing match to match, so outright prices on favourites are longer than in series games. The names are not predictions.

Prize pool history

PGC prize pools, 2019–2026

From a peak of $4.41M in 2021 to $1.77M in 2025; the 2026 base pool is $1.5M.

  1. 2019 $4.00M
  2. 2021 $4.41M
  3. 2022 $3.36M
  4. 2023 $2.35M
  5. 2024 $1.78M
  6. 2025 $1.77M
  7. 2026 $1.50M

What changed

Part of the PGC prize pool comes from sales of tournament-branded in-game items, so the final figure can rise during the event. The pool has fallen every year since 2021.

What it means for betting: the 2026 figure is the announced pool before item sales; compare it with past final figures with that in mind.
