Overwatch League betting: OWL champions and where to bet on Overwatch now
The Overwatch League (OWL) ran from 2018 to 2023 with city-based franchise teams, and was dissolved after the 2023 season. Since 2024 the top level of Overwatch esports is the Overwatch Champions Series (OWCS), an open circuit with regional leagues and two international events a year. If you want to bet on Overwatch today, OWCS is where the markets are: the 2026 World Finals are scheduled for Guangzhou on 2–6 December 2026. Below: every OWL champion and how OWCS betting works.

Short answer
Can you still bet on the Overwatch League?
No. The OWL ended after its 2023 season, when most franchise owners voted to leave. Overwatch betting now covers the Overwatch Champions Series: regional matches, the Midseason Championship and the World Finals. Bookmakers offer series winner, map winner, map handicap and total maps on most OWCS matches.

Outright vs match
Three ways to bet on OWCS
Match winner
Pick the winner of one series. It settles when that series ends.
So what: usually the lowest margin on the page, and you can react to form, rosters and the draw.
Specials and props
Total maps, exact series score, first map winner, winning region at an international event.
So what: thin markets with wider margins; compare the price on two or three sites before you bet.

Every Overwatch League champion
5 different champions in 6 editions. San Francisco Shock are the only team to win the OWL twice (2019, 2020).

Overwatch League FAQ
Does the Overwatch League still exist?
No. The OWL's last season was 2023; most franchise owners then voted to exit and the league was dissolved. The Overwatch Champions Series replaced it from 2024.
Who won the last Overwatch League?
Florida Mayhem won the 2023 playoffs in Toronto, beating Houston Outlaws in the final.
Who won the OWCS World Finals?
Team Falcons won in 2024 and Twisted Minds in 2025, both in Stockholm. The 2026 World Finals are scheduled for Guangzhou on 2–6 December 2026.
What can I bet on in Overwatch?
Series winner, map winner, map handicap, total maps and exact score on most OWCS matches, plus outright winners for the international events at bookmakers with deeper esports menus. See our Overwatch betting page.
Why bet on maps rather than the series?
Map prices are closer to even, so the payout is higher but so is the risk. A team that wins 60% of maps wins about 68% of best-of-five series; the series bet is the safer of the two.
How old must I be to bet on Overwatch?
At least 18, and older in some countries. See our responsible gaming page.
