Apex Legends is a battle royale: 20 trios share one lobby in the Apex Legends Global Series (ALGS) finals, so there is no single opponent to beat. Bookmakers price it with head-to-head bets between two teams, top-N finishes and outrights on the event winner.
This page explains each market, what a fair price for one team in a 20-team lobby looks like, how the ALGS match point rule decides a champion, and which bookmakers are ranked for Apex on this site. Odds here are examples.

Short answer
You bet on placements, not on beating one opponent. In a 20-team lobby an average team wins a game 5% of the time, so fair odds are 20.00. Head-to-head bets, where you pick which of two teams finishes higher, are the closest Apex gets to a match winner market.
An average team wins one game in a 20-team lobby 5% of the time.
Backing that team at 15.00 instead of the fair 20.00 loses a quarter of the stake on average.
ALGS finals teams need 50 points before a game win makes them champion.
Oblivion won the ALGS 2026 Championship on 86 points, the first last-chance qualifier to win it.
Average margin on the example head-to-head across four ranked bookmakers.
How it works
Head-to-head for two teams, top-N for one team's placement, outright for the event.
With 20 teams, an average team has a 5% chance to win a game. Adjust up or down for form.
1 ÷ odds is the implied chance. If it is above your own estimate, skip the bet.
Outright margins in battle royales are high. Compare books and set a limit first.
Markets Example odds
The markets bookmakers offer on ALGS events, what they pay for and what they cost. Example odds.
Head-to-head is the cheapest Apex market in this example. Top-N and outright markets carry much more margin, because the odds of 20 teams have to add up.
| Market | You bet on | Example odds | Margin | What it means |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Head-to-head | Team Falcons or Oblivion: which finishes higher in the Finals. | 1.75 / 2.00 | 6.7% | the lowest margin of the Apex markets here. |
| Top 3 in the Finals | Team Falcons finish in the top three. | 2.60 / 1.45 | 6.9% | a yes/no market; margin on both sides. |
| Game winner | Which team wins one game of the Finals. | [20 outcomes] | [20 outcomes] | fair odds start at 20.00 for an average team. |
| Event winner (outright) | Which team is champion after match point. | [20 outcomes] | [20 outcomes] | the longest odds and usually the highest margin. |
| Most kills, one game | Which of two teams gets more kills in a game. | 1.85 / 1.85 | 7.5% | follows play style more than placement form. |

Glossary
Bookmakers offer head-to-head bets on which of two teams finishes higher, top-N placements and outrights on the event winner. There is no plain match winner because 20 teams share a lobby.
In ALGS finals a team that reaches 50 points becomes match point eligible. The first eligible team to win a game is champion, and there is no limit on the number of games.
For an average team in a 20-team lobby, 5%, or 20.00 in decimal odds. A better team deserves shorter odds, but few teams win more than one game in five.
Twenty teams split the 100% between them, and the match point rule adds variance. Even a favourite rarely has a fair chance above 15%.
Oblivion, a team that came through the last chance qualifier, won in Sapporo with 86 points. Team Falcons and ENTER FORCE.36 followed on 75. See our ALGS betting page.
