Halo betting 2026: markets, series maths and where to bet on Halo

Halo esports is in a gap year. Halo Infinite was retired from official Halo Championship Series (HCS) play after the 2025 World Championship, and 2026 events run with community and partner organisers, such as Halo at DreamHack Birmingham in March.

Fewer matches mean fewer markets: expect match winner, map handicap and total maps on the bigger LAN events, and little in between. This page explains those markets, the series maths behind them and which bookmakers we rank for Halo.

Short answer

Can you still bet on Halo esports?

Yes, but on fewer events. With Halo Infinite out of official HCS play since the 2025 World Championship, markets appear mainly for LAN events such as DreamHack. Series are played over several maps and modes, so the stronger team is favoured more the longer the series: a 60% chance per map wins a BO5 68% of the time.

Per map 60% 68% BO5 series chance
Per map 60% 65% BO3 series chance
Match winner 5.7% lowest margin, example
Team size 4v4 per side

So what: the underdog's best chance.

BO5

BO7

Fair odds 1.41
Upset chance 29.0%

So what: upsets are rare; favourites are short.

Series maths

From a per-map chance to a series chance

If each map is independent, the series chance follows from the chance per map. Move the slider to see the effect.

BO3 = p² × (3 − 2p)

BO5 = p³ × (10 − 15p + 6p²)

Example, p = 0.60: BO5 = 0.683

Per map BO1 BO3 BO5 Fair odds BO3 BO3 vs BO1
50% 50.0% 50.0% 50.0% 2.00 ±0.0 pp
55% 55.0% 57.5% 59.3% 1.74 +2.5 pp
60% 60.0% 64.8% 68.3% 1.54 +4.8 pp
65% 65.0% 71.8% 76.5% 1.39 +6.8 pp
70% 70.0% 78.4% 83.7% 1.28 +8.4 pp
75% 75.0% 84.4% 89.6% 1.19 +9.4 pp
80% 80.0% 89.6% 94.2% 1.12 +9.6 pp

Pure maths: maps treated as independent with the same chance p. Halo series mix modes, so a team's chance differs by map.
