Outright
Pick the winner of the event before or during it. The KPL Grand Finals run for six weeks, so an outright stake is locked up for a long time.
So what: bigger payout but a bigger margin, and your stake is locked until the trophy is lifted.

Honor of Kings World Champion Cup betting: history, today's events and odds
The Honor of Kings World Champion Cup was Tencent's summer championship for its mobile MOBA, held as the Champion Cup in 2017 and 2018 and as the World Champion Cup from 2019 to 2021. Its prize pool grew from about $405,000 to $7.7 million, and QG Happy won three of the five editions.
Since then the top Honor of Kings events are the KPL Grand Finals (running from 2 October to 14 November 2026), the Honor of Kings World Cup (won by Kuaishou Gaming in Paris in August 2026) and the Honor of Kings International Championship, scheduled for December 2026. Outright vs match
Three ways to bet on Honor of Kings
Match winner
Pick the winner of one series. Playoff series are played over several games, so the stronger team wins more often than in one game.
So what: the lowest margin on most books, and you can react to form, patches and roster news.
Specials and props
First blood, first tower or tyrant, total kills in a game and game duration.
So what: thin markets with wide margins; compare two or three books before you bet.

How it is worked out
Title chance = chance per series to the power of the series still to win. With 3 series left the chance is 21.6%, fair odds 4.63. Each series win removes one factor.
What it means: a price of 3.70 before the playoffs only pays if the team wins every series, so compare it with backing the team series by series.
Worked example, not a forecast. Book odds = fair odds ÷ (1 + overround).

What a Honor of Kings outright market looks like
Example odds, not live prices. The sum of the implied probabilities shows the bookmaker's margin.
| Team | Example odds | Implied | Fair odds |
|---|---|---|---|
| AG Super Play | 3.50 | 28.6% | 3.89 |
| Wolves | 5.00 | 20.0% | 5.55 |
| Kuaishou Gaming | 6.00 | 16.7% | 6.66 |
| eStar Pro | 8.00 | 12.5% | 8.89 |
| Any other team | 3.00 | 33.3% | 3.33 |
| Sum | 111.1% | margin 10.0% |
Reading an outright market
Add up 1 ÷ odds for every runner. Here the sum is 111.1%, so the book keeps about 10.0% of outright stakes on average.
What it means: outrights suit a strong view on one team. The names show how the table works; they are not predictions.

Prize pool history
World Champion Cup prize pools, 2017–2021
From about $405,000 in 2017 to $7.73 million in 2021.

- 2018 $1.00M
- 2019 $4.55M
- 2020 $4.60M
- 2021 $7.73M
What changed
The prize pool grew in every edition and rose most in 2019, when the event became the World Champion Cup and moved partly abroad (Seoul and Puchong).
What it means for betting: bigger pools draw stronger fields, which makes outright favourites less safe.
