Capcom has recently announced a brand-new tournament series called Street Fighter 6 New Challengers. This tournament is set to take place on November 18th and will be streamed on Capcom's Fighters channel, as well as the channels of the participating players.
The Street Fighter 6 New Challengers tournament will feature a fresh format that has already gained popularity in other regions. The tournament is inspired by a viral trend in the Street Fighter 6 community, where Japanese tournaments adopted a more accessible format for personalities and V-tubers. In this new tournament, players will be organized into three different teams, each headed and coached by a fighting game pro. The teams will compete against each other, with 10 points at stake for each match.
The participating players in the tournament include Resident Evil Ll Joe, Katlink, Deere, Burkeblack, Monster Hunter Justin Wong, Bawkbasoup, SDShephard, TheAsianAvenger, V-Tuber KizzieKay, Kettletoro, Huntress, and Flashy.
The tournament will begin with training sessions throughout November, leading up to the main event on November 18th. With a prize pool of $15,000, this tournament is sure to be an exciting competition for Street Fighter 6 fans.
