The developers of Helldivers 2 have made it clear that they have no plans to include PvP in the game in order to reduce the potential for toxicity. However, toxic players can still be encountered in any multiplayer game.

Dealing with Toxic Players

In Helldivers 2, there may be instances where players engage in toxic behavior such as teamkilling or sabotaging the team. If you encounter such players and want to take action, here's how you can report or block them:

  1. Access the Recent Players Section: On your ship, press the 'O' key to bring up the social tab. From there, navigate to the Recent Players section.

  2. Identify the Players: In the Recent Players section, you will find a list of the eight most recent players you were teamed up with. Each player will have a time stamp indicating when you finished the mission or when they left the party.

  3. Blocking Players: By blocking a player, they will be removed from your Recent Players tab and will not be able to join any party you're hosting, and vice-versa. Please note that it may take some time for their names to appear in the Blocked Players list.

  4. Reporting Players: Currently, the report option only allows you to report players who have typed in the in-game chat box. This means that you cannot report players for teamkilling or toxic voice comms at the moment. However, the developers may add a more comprehensive reporting feature in the future.

Remember, in the heat of combat, some incidental friendly fire is to be expected, especially at higher difficulties. Reserve the block option for players who are clearly engaging in intentional teamkilling or toxic behavior.

By taking these steps, you can help create a more positive and enjoyable gaming experience for yourself and other players in Helldivers 2.
