Niantic, the developer of Pokémon Go, has surprised players with the unexpected appearance of the Ghost in the Machine Research ahead of the Go Tour: Sinnoh event. In this article, we will provide an overview of what this mysterious research is and how to complete it.
The Ghost in the Machine Research is a new set of single-page Research that has been popping up in the events tab during the Carnival of Love. It is related to the Pokémon Rotom's base form debut during the Go Tour: Sinnoh event. Previously, only Rotom-Wash was available in the game.
To complete the Ghost in the Machine Research, players who have purchased a ticket for Go Tour: Sinnoh - LA will be able to decipher the hidden code displayed at the bottom of the research in the event tab while present at the Rose Bowl Stadium. However, trainers worldwide can also redeem the code. Similar to the A Coded Quest Timed Research from Go Tour: Hoenn, parts of the code will likely be given out online for players to enter and complete research tasks. The tasks and rewards for the Ghost in the Machine Research are still hidden, but we expect players to receive 30 Rotom Candy and a Pokémon encounter, most likely Rotom.
The Ghost in the Machine Research is an exciting addition to the Pokémon Go game, offering players the opportunity to encounter and catch the elusive Rotom. Make sure to participate in the Go Tour: Sinnoh event and complete the research to unlock these exclusive rewards. Happy hunting!
