Pokémon Go Tour: Sinnoh is an upcoming event that promises exciting bonuses for players. However, it seems that one key element will be missing from this event—Arceus.

Pokémon Go Tour: Sinnoh - Exciting Bonuses Await, but Arceus is Missing

What to Expect

The in-person part of the event, Go Tour: Sinnoh – Los Angeles, will take place from Feb. 16 to 18. During this time, players will have the opportunity to encounter nearly every Pokémon from the Gen IV games. Additionally, special event raids will feature the debut of Origin Forme Dialga and Origin Forme Palkia, previously only found in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. However, Arceus itself will not be making an appearance.

Why Arceus is Missing

According to a statement from the Pokémon Go Live Events team, Niantic has chosen not to include Arceus, Manaphy, or Phione in Go Tour: Sinnoh. Despite being some of the only missing Pokémon from Gen IV, the team wants to give each Pokémon its own dedicated space to shine. They have plans for these special Pokémon to make their Pokémon Go debut in the future.

Niantic's Strategy

Niantic's decision aligns with their usual strategy of spacing out new Pokémon releases across multiple events. By focusing on Origin Forme Dialga and Origin Forme Palkia as the headliners of Go Tour: Sinnoh, they aim to avoid overwhelming the event with too much content. This strategy is especially important for Legendary and Mythical Pokémon, which are typically released gradually over time.

The Future of Arceus

While Arceus is a significant Pokémon that is currently absent from Pokémon Go, there is hope for its future appearance. With the ongoing season called Timeless Travels and the anticipation of Go Fest 2024, it is possible that we may see the literal God of Pokémon, Arceus, make its debut soon. And who knows, Manaphy and Phione might accompany it as well.

Don't miss out on the Pokémon Go Tour: Sinnoh event and stay tuned for updates on the potential arrival of Arceus!
