Team Liquid is the most successful team in terms of total prize money won. The team boasts several prestigious titles and has been honored severally. Below are the most noteworthy achievements of the heavyweights from Utrecht.
Dota 2
Team Liquid is a big Dota 2 team. It has won several Dota 2 championships, including DreamLeague Season 6 (2016), StarLadder i-League StarSeries Season 3 (2017), StarLadder i-League Invitational Season 3 (2017), EPICENTER 2016, and EPICENTER 2017, to mention a few. 2022 is already a good year for Team Liquid as it has already bagged the DPC WEU 2021/22 Tour 1: Division I.
However, the most significant win was The International 2017, where TL bagged $10,862,683. In the 7th iteration of the tournament, TL eased past LGD.Forever Young in the semi-finals before hammering Newbee 3-0 in a bo5 duel. In the following year, though, it finished 4th, which is still commendable.
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive
Team Liquid has also excelled in CS: GO. The team finished first in several S-Tier tournaments 2019, including Intel Extreme Masters XIV - Chicago, Intel Extreme Masters XIV - Sydney, ESL One: Cologne 2019, ESL Pro League Season 9 - Finals, DreamHack Masters Dallas 2019, and BLAST Pro Series: Los Angeles 2019.
The biggest win in this division came in 2019 when Team Liquid bagged the Intel Grand Slam Season 2. It walked away with $1,000,000 after edging out Astralis.
League of Legends
Riot's League of Legends is another division where Team Liquid has won titles. The team started their dominance back in 2018 when they won two S-Tier tournaments - NA LCS Summer 2018 and A LCS Spring 2018. TL went further ahead to clinch LCS Spring 2019, LCS Summer 2019, LCS Lock-In 2021, and LCS Lock-In 2022.
Besides League of Legends, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, and Dota 2, Team Liquid has also excelled in Valorant, having been crowned the champions of CT 2021: EMEA Stage 2 Challengers Finals, VCT 2021: Europe Stage 3 Challengers 2, and Red Bull Home Ground #2.
The famous eSport team has also asserted itself in the Rainbow Six Siege division. It holds several titles, including Brasileirão 2021 - Finals, Pro League Season 11 - Latin America, Copa Elite Six - Season 2021: Stage 1, Six November 2020 Major - Brazil, OGA PIT Season 3, and Pro League Season 7 - Finals.
