Apex Legends, like most battle royales, follows a seasons system to organize its available loot and modes. Each season has a set start and end date, lasting approximately three months.
Every season of Apex Legends introduces exciting new content, including:
Starting from season five, quests were added to the game. These daily and weekly goals help players earn points towards the battle pass, unlocking rewards for each level achieved. Quests can also align with collection or lore events and have their own separate trackers.
The most recent season, Breakout, began on February 13. It features the newly evolved legend armor system, unique legend upgrade trees for all 25 characters, and the Thunderdome, the largest map available in all three Mixtape game modes.

At the end of each season and split, players' rankings drop by six divisions. However, they receive a ranked tier badge based on their highest achieved rank from both splits.
Apex Legends season 20 will last for 83 days, ending on May 6. Players have nearly three months to complete the seasonal pass and collect all the associated rewards. Season 21 will immediately follow Breakout, with the official launch time announced in the season's gameplay trailers.
